dc.description.abstract | The Big Turkish Dictionary, by the Turkish Language Association (Türk Dil Kurumu, 2013), defines the word painting as forms, made with equipment such as pencils and brushes, on paper, canvas, etc., of the appearances in nature of beings . When the words, being , appearance and form in the description are analyzed further using the same dictionary, the statement changes as follows: the shadows, made with equipment such as pencils and brushes, on paper, canvas, etc., of the shadows in nature of reality . Thus, the meaning of painting becomes the shadows of the shadows of reality . The idea, which accepts the objects of perception as the shadows of reality , is in keeping with Plato s theory of forms . In the allegory of the cave (Platon, 2013, p. 231 – 235), which Plato uses to elucidate his core concept, prisoners, held captive, chained, in a cave, can only see shadows that fall on the wall in front of them and accept the shadows as real objects. | tr_TR |
dc.description.ozet | Resim sözcüğü Türk Dil Kurumunun Büyük Türkçe Sözlüğünde (Türk Dil Kurumu, 2013) varlıkların, doğadaki görünüşlerinin kalem, fırça gibi araçlarla kağıt, bez vb. üzerinde yapılan biçimleri olarak açıklanır. Bu tanımdaki varlık , görünüş ve biçim kelimelerinin aynı sözlükteki anlamları araştırılacak olursa, sözlüğün sunduğu resim tanımı şuna dönüşür: Gerçeklerin, doğadaki gölgelerinin kalem, fırça gibi araçlarla kağıt, bez vb. üzerinde yapılan gölgeleri . Yani resim , gerçeğin gölgesinin gölgesi olarak ifade edilir. Doğadaki algı nesnelerinin , gerçeklerin gölgeleri olduğu düşüncesi Platon un idealar kuramı yla örtüşür niteliktedir. Filozofun, fikrini anlatmakta yararlandığı mağara alegorisi nde (Platon, 2013, s. 231 – 235), bir mağarada zincirli olan tutsaklar hayatları boyu, gerçek nesneler yerine nesnelerin, önlerindeki duvara düşen, gölgelerini algılar ve mutlak gerçeklik zannederler. Halbuki gölgeler, gerçeklerin yalnızca izdüşümü dür. | tr_TR |
