Conjunctios are types of words that conjunct the words, word groups and the sentences. They complete the components in terms of structure, morphes and meaning; and add reason, result, condition, negativity etc. to the sentence they are used. ne… ne (de)… [neither… nor…] which adds the negativity to the sentence, used to conjunct the words and sentences, also used with an affirmative predicate and maintain its usage until Turkey Turkish is the main subject of this thesis.
This thesis consists of three main parts. In “First Chapter”, the debates on conjunctions are given chronologically based on the previos studies of philologists, and made a wide classification trial on conjunction. In “The Second Chapter”, the studies on the conjunctions, controversial issues and their contributions are explained. In “The Third Part”, the historical process of “ne…ne (de)…” [neither… nor…] is examined based on studying the first written texts of Turkish and using samples taken from these texts, the structure and contribution of “ne… ne (de)…” [neither… nor…] is classifed widely. In “Conclusion” chapter, the datum reached are submitted as tables.
