One Health examines the health relationships between humans, animals, and shared ecosystems. This approach has an important place in the holistic definition of health and plays a key role in the solution of many problems related to health, especially the prevention of zoonotic diseases. In this descriptive study, data were collected via the questionnaires applied to members of Ankara Medical Chamber and Ankara Veterinary Medical Association on the concept of One Health. The data of the study were collected in two sub-sections as qualitative, including quantitative and semi-structured interviews. Quantitative data were collected through a data collection form sent to physicians registered in chambers via e-mail. The data were collected between February 24 and April 24, 2020. A total of 295 people, including 74 medical doctors and 221 veterinarians, who completed the form, took part in the study. It was understood that 63.5% of the medical physicians and 6.3% of the veterinarians who answered the study did not hear the concept, few reflected the concept in their applications and while most participant view that a variety of disciplines and institutions are related to the concept and its application, most of the respondents did not work in cooperation with different disciplines and sectors in their practices. It was understood that 95.9% of the medical doctors who participated in the study and 71.5% of the veterinarians did not receive training on the concept. In addition to the quantitative data, the opinions of the boards of both professional chambers were obtained through semi-structured interviews within the scope of the research. The interviews were completed online on 13 and 22 June 2020. The physicians interviewed think that awareness and practices about One Health can be improved. About One Health; The integration of the concept into the curriculum, the organization of joint training studies, joint research, planning and organizing studies that prioritize cooperation will contribute to the completion of the deficiencies mentioned in awareness and practices.
