Under increasing competitive conditions. The support of Enterprise Resource Planning systems (ERP) to companies is very important. With the development of technology, the number of ERP systems with different features and suppliers has increased. This situation made it difficult for companies to choose the most suitable option, but also increased the competition of software suppliers.
The aim of this study is to draw attention to the importance of ERP systems and to determine the criteria that are effective in the selection of KKP and to investigate the relationship between these criteria and the firm's characteristics.
For this reason, the features of ERP systems, selection criteria and similar studies in the literature were examined. Data for ERP selection process from different companies were collected and analyzed. The importance order of the selection criteria was found by Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP) method. Then, the Association Rules Analysis was applied to analyze the relationship between selection criteria and firm characteristics. As a result of AHS, the top five criteria were found to be functionality, cost, ease of use, consultant features and technical infrastructure, respectively. Before analyzing the association rules, two different methods were used to determine whether these five criteria were important for the company. Although there are such different rules in two methods, similar rules are obtained. Firms that have been operating in the production sector for more than 26 years do not pay attention to cost criteria in either method, while firms that have been operating for 20-26 years do not pay attention to the advisor characteristics. For firms in the software industry, while both methods are an advisory criterion, technical infrastructure is an important criterion. When we look at the relationship of selection criteria with each other, the first method is that companies that attach importance to consultancy features do not care about cost. The second method is for a positive relationship between software parameters and technical infrastructure, for consultant features and usage.
