The aim of this research is to prove the effect of servant leadership features of health institution managers on management effectiveness and institution performance indicators. Servant Leadership Profile-Revised, Ten Item Personality Inventory, and Leadership Effectiveness Scale are carried out as a data collection tools; and the results are compared with performance indicators. Data are acquired from 414 managers of hospitals having the 100 and above inpatient bed availability. Data analysis is made by SPSS and AMOS statistical programme. Confirmatory factor analysis, Independent Samples t Test, One Way ANOVA, Post Hoc multiple comparison tests (Tukey HSD) are used in analyses.
As a result of the analysis; it has been found that the personality traits of healthcare administrators have a positive effect on servant leadership traits and servant leadership traits on leader effectiveness. On the other hand, it was found that the perceptions of the servant leadership characteristics on the institutional performance were not significant. It is considered that the limited institutional performance criteria are effective in the emergence of this result.
As a result; In order to increase the success and performance of healthcare managers, it is thought that it may be appropriate to test and appoint personality and leadership characteristics in manager appointments.
