Abstract
Inhibition of gene expression by using RNAi is a promising gene therapy technique due to it s use for not only investigation of spesific gene functions, at the same time for therapies of various diseases such as viral infections, genetic diseases, cardiovascular disorders and cancer. In cancer therapy blocking of one single gene isn t sufficient many times to suppress the disease for that reason simultaneously inhibition of multiple pathways or combination of gene silencing strategy with other therapies are necessary. Chemotherapy, one of the conventional approach of cancer treatment, due to it s harm to also healty cells leaves it s place to new generation therapies that eliminate this effect. In recent years combination of conventional chemotherapy and siRNA based new developed therapies drew attention of researchers. Thus, combined application of chemodrugs and siRNA therapy allows usage of low dose drugs and reduction the side effects of chemotherapy.
