Demircan, E.N., Investigation of the effect of cervical stabilization exercises on spinal posture, cervical proprioception and postural instability in Parkinson's patients, Hacettepe University, Graduate of Health Sciences, Physiotherapy and Rehabilitation Program, Master Thesis, Ankara, 2020. The aim of this study was to investigate the effects of cervical spinal stabilization exercises on spinal posture, cervical proprioception and postural instability in Parkinson's patients.For this purpose, 18 patients with Parkinson's disease stage 2-3 according to the Modified Hoehn-Yahr (H-Y) Staging Scale were divided into two groups as study and control groups.Traditional physiotherapy and cervical stabilization exercises were applied to the study group and only the traditional physiotherapy program was applied to the control group. Individuals continued this program for 8 weeks in the form of a home program on the other days under the guidance of a physiotherapist once a week. At the end of the study, pre- and post-treatment evaluation results were compared. The Modified HY Staging Scale, New York Posture Analysis, trunk rotation angle and pelvic asymmetry, some cervical joint range of motion, Timed Up and Go Test time, 10 meters walk test, some of the shoulder circumference muscles, significant improvement in cervical flexor muscle strength, activation and performance scores, most muscle shortness values, and cervical ventral endurance in both groups(p<0.05).According to the control group of the study group, in the Berg Balance Scale, many parameters of static posturography, some postural smoothness (thoracic and cervical inclination), some shoulder joint movements, cervical joint position sense, Timed Up and Go Test cadance, cervical extensor and scapula circumference improved better muscle strength in many parameters of Quality of Life(p<0.05). At the end of the study, it was seen that both treatment methods corrected spinal posture in Parkinson's patients and when stabilization exercises were added to traditional physiotherapy program, more positive effects were observed on cervical proprioception, postural instability and postural control. At the end of the study; It was concluded that this combined physiotherapy and rehabilitation program was more effective in terms of treatment efficacy on Parkinson's patients.
