Children's books, children's; mental, social, emotional, language and personality development, aesthetic tendencies development, reading habits are expected to contribute to such a multidimensional development. The differentiation of the needs of children in certain age ranges led to the adoption of the "children relativity principle" in children's books. The criteria to be found in children's books are determined according to the "children relativity principle". Therefore, children's books; physical characteristics, content and illustration characteristics are evaluated according to the age group in which the book is prepared. The rapid change in the development areas of children aged 0-36 months requires the differentiation of the features that should be present in the picture books. The aim of this study; 0-36 months of "picture children's books" for children; content properties, physical properties and illustration features, it is investigated. The research was designed in a screening model. The universe of the research is the "illustrated children's books" which are sold in bookstores in the central districts of Ankara for children aged 0-36 months. Sampling method was made according to criterion sampling. In the study; In 2019, 135 illustrated children's books sold in Ankara were examined according to the "0-36 Months Illustrated Children's Books Evaluation Form" developed by the researcher. As a result of the research; Illustrated children's books for children aged 0-36 months were found to be insufficient in terms of content (subject, diversity,etc.) and sufficient in terms of illustration and physical characteristics.
