Aminometil Piridin Fonksiyonel Gruplarını İçeren Polimerik Partiküllerin Hazırlanması ve Arsenik(V) İyonlarının Adsorpsiyon Özelliklerinin İncelenmesi
Abstract
In this study, 4-AMP-PS adsorbent particles were prepared by modifying chloromethyl polystyrene particles (CM-PS) with 4-aminomethyl pyridine (4-AMP) to remove As(V) ions from aqueous solutions. To obtain optimum modification conditions, effect of reaction temperature and the molar ratio between 4-aminomethyl pyridine functional groups and chlorine atoms on the surface of polystyrene (4-AMP/Cl) on the modification reaction efficiency was examined. Novel 4-AMP-PS particles were characterized by elemental analysis, FTIR, TGA, and XPS. Effect of solution pH, contact time, initial concentration, interfering anions and ionic strength on As (V) ions adsorption capacity by 4-AMP-PS particles were studied in batch system. It is observed that As(V) adsorption capacities by 4-AMP-PS particles in the range of pH 4-7 was constant. Kinetic studies showed that the As(V) ions adsorbtion onto the 4-AMP-PS particles surface follows a the pseudo-second-order kinetic model.
