Doğa ve Toprağa Yönelik Hazırlanan İnformal Öğrenme Ortamının İlköğretim Öğrencileri Üzerine Etkileri
Abstract
The aims of the study is to investigate the effects of informal learning settings on the sixth graders achievement and attitudes about nature and soil, to reveal their perceptions and the level of understanding concerning these settings and to determine which scientific sources the students use in their daily life and in solving daily problems. The participants of the study were 75 sixth graders from three different section in a elementary education school in Ankara. The topic used in the study was the unit of what the earth's crust composed of . The participants were randomly assigned to one of three groups, namely two experimental groups and a control group. The study was designed as static group with pre- and post test. The data collected were analysed using both qualitative and quantitative techniques.
