Normal Gelişim Gösteren, Otistik Spektrum Bozukluğu Olan ve Gelişimsel Gecikmesi Olan Çocukların Söz Öncesi Gelişen Sosyal Iletişim ve Sembolik Davranışlarının Sözcük Dağarcığı ile İlişkisinin İncelenmesi
Abstract
This study has been planned in order to research the relation of symbolic
behaviors and communication that evolved in preverbal period with vocabulary of children
who show normal development, have autistic spectrum disorder, and have developmental
delay. 15 children aged 2-5 year who have autistic spectrum disorder from Ankara Renkli
Yeni Ufuk Special Education and Rehabilitation Center, 16 children who have developmental
delay, and 16 children aged 0-3 year who show normal development from Ankara Minik
Hacettepeliler Nursery form the sample of the study. First of all family information form has
been filled in for all children participated in the study. In order to make sure that the children
participating in the study were at the same developmental stage their parents were
administered the Ankara Developmental Screening Inventory (ADSI), and then the groups
were matched accordingly. By talking to families of 47 children who form the sample of the
study, Communication and Symbolic Behavior Scales Development Profile Infant-Toddler
Checklist and Caregiver Survey, and Turkish Communicative Development Inventory were
filled in by the researcher. There’s been found difference between three groups with regards
to CSBS (Communication and Symbolic Behavior Scales) Caregiver Survey social
components (p= 0,045) and CSBS Infant-Toddler Checklist social components (p= 0,430).
There’s been found difference (p= 0,019) between feelings and making eye contact, which is
subtitle of CSBS Caregiver Survey social components, values of children participating in.
Between three groups there has been found difference (p= 0,048) between sounds values,
which is subtitle of CSBS Caregiver Survey speech components. There’s been found
difference between three groups who form the sample in feelings and making eye contact
(p=0,001), which one of subtitles of CSBS Infant-Toddler Checklist social components, and
gestures (p= 0,001). Relationship of TCDI Receptive Vocabulary with CSBS Caregiver
Survey components and relationship of TCDI Expressive Vocabulary with CSBS Caregiver
Survey components (p <0,05) is significant. Relationship of TCDI Receptive Vocabulary
with CSBS Baby-Child Checklist components and relationship of TCDI Expressive
Vocabulary with CSBS Baby-Child Checklist components (p <0,05) is significant.
