Abstract

Unfolded in the course of a series of political praxis began withTahrir moment in 2010 which was then spread to the US with#Occupy Wall Street and later resumed with Gezi Park occupation; these movements made a mark with regards to social movements ecology with their distinct online-offline qualities. These occupymovements which came to produce their political beings by way of online communication took to streets occupation as means. In doing so, with their opposition towards state and party organizations, they became characterized with antihierarchial, antibureaucratic and leaderless organizational ethos namely ‘horizontality’. Following the footprints, several grassroots struggles adopted organizational practices displayed by these movements. In conjunction with this, #OccupyChp as an occupation movement became one of the recent political subjects attempting to reproduce these practices.
