Abstract
In this study the purpose is to find out what kind of effects the unhealthy familial relationships as well as life styles and various problems have on drug addiction. In this research, sociological crime theories were studied and social learning, social control and labeling theories were used. The topic of this research is the type of familial factors and situations that might be valid in the process of drug addiction. In this context, what is focused about families are socio-demographic properties, problems, structure of the family, child abuse, problematic behaviors of parents, drug use habits, exposure to violence or crime in the family and witnessing a crime. In the broad sense, exposure to the drug use in the family or witnessing behaviors containing perversion or crime elements can have different effects on the drug addiction of a person.
