Türkiye'de Ev Hizmetlerinde Çalışan Göçmen Kadınların Toplumsal ve İktisadi Varoluş Stratejileri Üzerine Sosyolojik Bir Analiz

Abstract

This research investigates the processes of migration, finding a job, arrival to Turkey, the existence strategies in labour market related to domestic work sector in Turkey and the financial activities of female immigrant domestic workers who come from Post Soviet Countries (PSC) to Turkey. In addition, their interactions with both the local community in Turkey, especially with their own employers, and with people who stayed in their country of origin and people who migrated to Turkey from their country of origin and from other Post Soviet Countries are analysed, in relation with the trans-national networks to which they belong and give shape. Female immigrant domestic workers legal positions and their future expectations are also investigated. Problems which the immigrant domestic workers face in all of these processes and the existence strategies that they develop for solving these problems are studied.
