Derin Örtülü Kapanışlı Olgularda Üst Keser Intrüzyonunun Konik Işınlı Bilgisayarlı Tomografi ile İncelenmesi
Abstract
A study was designed to evaluate skeletal and dental effects, treatment period and amount of resorption, depend on maxillary 4 incisors intrusion in deep overbite postadolesan patient with mini-screws and Burstone base-arch by using Cone Beam Computed Tomography(CBCT). The study consisted 25 patients who have significant maxillary teeth visibility at rest position, gummy-smile and 4 mm or more deepbite. Patients randomly divided into 2 groups. In the mini-screw group, 1,4 mm diameter and 8 mm length mini-screws were inserted in the buccal cortical bone between maxillary lateral and santral incisors and intrusion force produced by using Niti coil-springs. In the base-arch group, intrusion wire prepared with TMA inserted to molar tubes at posterior and jointed to segmental arch wire between lateral and santral incisors. After intrusion period, datas were evaluated. As a result of our study, significant amount of incisor intrusion and protrusion observed in each group. However, the values of the mini-screw group was greater than the base-arch group. Due to the process of intrusion , average 1 mm significant root resorption occurred in both groups. In addition, as a result of three-dimensional assessment, significant root resorption average volume of 27-31 mm3 was observed. The resulting reduction in volumetric quantities close to length measurements proportionally. The difference was due to more detailed examination of root with volumetric sections. As a result of our study, we concluded that each of the method may be used successfully in a same period of time and considered that amount of resorption is clinically normal.
