Turkey has always been on the migration route throughout history. The Syrian crisis has caused a mass raid in the area that is accustomed to migration. However, Syrian refugees in many ways has turned out to be a different experience of migration to Turkey. The difference in the situation also lead to inexperience and many problems. This prolonged visit, which is expected to be temporary at first, has made these problems more visible and it has become inevitable to solve these problems. Non-governmental organizations, has been a close follower of the issue of Syrian refugees from the first day Syrian refugees set foot in Turkey and field studies have tried to fill the empty space left by the initial public institutions. With the adoption of the permanence of the Syrian refugees, public institutions also started to develop policies for the Syrian refugees. At the points where these policies seem unsuficiant, non-governmental organizations tried to eliminate the shortcomings by field studies. This study focus on the efforts of civil society organizations. In cases where public institutions are insufficient, non-governmental organizations have proved their goals and proved that problems can be solved by civil initiative without public assistance. In this study, information about the projects carried out by civil society organizations on Syrian refugees and the problems faced by non-governmental organizations were determined and solutions were suggested.
