ARIK, Ekin Su. An Investigation on The Interior Design Principles of Children's Hospitals Waiting Areas, Master’s Degree, Ankara, 2019.
Children's hospitals are located in easy-to-reach sections of the cities by public transport and are the health structures that are available for the treatment of children from every social and economic part of the city. Children's hospitals are a lot of building density. The main user group of pediatric hospitals consists of sick children and their companions. In this study; The waiting areas of children's hospitals were examined through sample hospitals and the design requirements and furniture qualities of these areas were tried to be defined. After analyzing the development of children's hospitals around the world and in our country, the criteria and the furniture used in the interior design of the waiting areas were analyzed through two samples selected from the world and our country.
development of children's hospitals in the first part of the study examined under two main headings, namely in the world and Turkey.
