Piyano Çalarken Kullanılan Tüm Kasların Isıtılmasının Anlık Piyano Performansına Etkisinin İncelenmesi
Abstract
This study was planned to evaluate the effects of warming-up made before the performance of the piano on musical values such as tempo, nuance and sonority on instant piano performance, as well as physiological parameters such as heart rate, fatigue and performance satisfaction. Seven volunteer pianists aged between 18-28 years were included in the study. Gender discrimination was not made in the working people. A total of 14 piano performances of 7 pianists participating in the study were performed in two consecutive days and voice recording was taken. Before the first performance, the pianist only performed musical warm-up, and before the second performance he also physically warmed up. The same methods were used in evaluating the performances in both conditions. How they perceive the warming habits and the effect of warming on the quality of the music was questioned by the "Warm-up Habit Questionnaire". The piano performance records were rated using the "Piano Performance Evaluation Scale" in terms of sonority, nuance, tempo fluency and interpretation. Heart rate was assessed with "On Rhythm 110 Heart Rate Monitor" and with Borg's Perceived Exertion Sale. There was a significant difference in favor of warming-up between Borg scores for warm and non-warm performance (p <0.05). When the physical performance was compared with the performance without heart, the difference between the lowest heart rates was significant (p <0.05), but there was no difference between the maximum heart rates (p> 0.05). When the "Piano Performance Evaluation Scale" scores of the performances made by warming and nonwarming were compared, the difference was found to be significant for the warming performances (p <0.05). There was no difference in the durations of the performans with and without physical warm-up (p> 0.05). The "Piano Performance Self-Assessment Questionnaire" showed that the "technical, nuance and tempo" characteristics of the warm-up performance were better.
