The primary aim of this study is to examine the impact of the Social Cohesion Psychoeducation Program for Foreign Students (YUSUP) on the social cohesion of high school students who have migrated to Turkey due to forced displacement and to develop a measurement tool (SOBÖ) to determine their level of social cohesion. During the scale development process, exploratory factor analysis (EFA), confirmatory factor analysis (CFA), and reliability analyses were conducted. As a result of these analyses, it was determined that SOBÖ, explained 59.218% of the total variance, and the Cronbach’s alpha reliability coefficient was approximately .87. Additionally, the CFA results were found to be at an acceptable level. The research implementation process was designed as an experimental design with pre-test, post-test, and follow-up test measurements, including both experimental and control groups. A total of 20 foreign students (experimental 10, control 10), exposed to forced migration, took part in the evaluation. Throughout the evaluation, the experimental group participated in a nine-week YUSUP program, while the control group received no intervention. The Wilcoxon Signed-Rank Test was conducted to determine whether there was a significant difference between the repeated measurements of the experimental and control groups, and the Mann-Whitney U Test was used to examine the differences between the scores of these groups. As a result of the study, it was found that the post-test (z=-2.805, p<.05) and follow-up test scores (z=-2.100, p<.05) of the experimental group were significantly higher than their pre-test scores. Additionally, it was determined that the post-test (U=22.00, p<.05) and follow-up test (U=23.50, p<.05) scores of the experimental group were higher compared to the control group, and this difference was statistically significant. In the qualitative dimension of the research, participants reported that the program positively affected their social cohesion. In conclusion, SOBÖ has been found to be a valid and reliable measurement tool, while YUSUP has been shown to positively impact the social cohesion levels of foreign students.
