Abstract

In this art report titled Anthropomorphic Narratives Through Fantastic Elements in Sculpture, the concepts of fantastic, surrealism, anthropomorphism, and biomorphic image are examined in depth and supported by applications. In this context, the ground is established with basic concepts such as fantastic, grotesque art, image in art, and abstraction in the First Section of the study. After focusing on Surrealism, where anthropomorphic and biomorphic elements are used intensively in sculpture, concepts within biomorphic art are included. In the First Section, where concepts such as metamorphosis, zoomorphosis, and anthropomorphism are also discussed, the process leading to the use of organic objects in sculpture is elaborated in detail. In the Second Section of the study, works conducted on anthropomorphic image from a fantastic perspective are included. In the Conclusion Section, the conceptual ground established is evaluated together with the application studies
