The action-oriented approach, introduced with the publication of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages in 2023, emphasizes the teaching and learning of foreign languages through the accomplishment of tasks. In other words, this approach focuses on practical and functional activities that allow learners to use the language in real and meaningful contexts. Within the principles of the action-oriented approach, the use of passive verbs, considered as a form of reworking through passivation, is studied in the 8th unit of the textbook « Saison 2 Méthode de français (A2-B1) ». The objective of this study is to observe and examine the use of the passive voice in French. The aim of this memorisation is to analyze in detail the passive structures in the 8th unit of the textbook « Saison 2 Méthode de Français (A2-B1) », as well as the different functions, positions, and roles of passivation in this unit.
