Perte de la féminité ou féminité ? La féminité à travers les personnages femmes de Virginie Despentes

Abstract

The theme of "femininity" is one that is frequently addressed in gender studies. It also plays an important role in literary texts, and we can see that this theme is especially central to the stories of contemporary writers. In this study, the theme of "femininity" and the development of female characters in the novel, how they are represented and how they are received in society through the codes of femininity created by concepts of masculinity such as violence, sexual violence, verbal violence and alteration will be examined by considering the novels Les Jolies choses, Baise-moi and Les chiennes savantes by contemporary French writer Virginie Despentes.
