TÜRK BESTECİLERİN ORKESTRA ESERLERİNDE BAS KLARNET KULLANIM DURUMU
Özet
In this study, the use of the bass clarinet in orchestral works by Turkish composers is
examined. The examination of the works is limited to the works of Turkish composers
recorded in the inventory of the Presidential Symphony Orchestra.
In the first chapter, the definition of clarinet and bass clarinet and the historical development
process are mentioned, and the place and importance of clarinet in music are mentioned. In
the second chapter, the contemporary Turkish music revolution that came with the
proclamation of the Republic is discussed, the lives of the Turkish Five, who emerged with
the effect of this development, are analyzed, and the second, third and fourth generation
Turkish composers who followed them are briefly mentioned. In the third part, it was
determined whether the Turkish composers whose works are in the inventory of the
Presidential Symphony Orchestra used the bass clarinet in their works, and the status and
factors of the use of the bass clarinet in polyphonic Turkish music.
In the data obtained as a result of the researches, it is tried to be analyzed that the tendency
of Turkish composers to prefer bass clarinet in orchestral works may have revealed
differences based on periodical, educational and other reasons.
