In the Qualification Art Study titled "The Production of the Image: Digital Image", the realization possibilities of both image production and the digital image are examined through the artworks produced.
It is understood that image production does not only refer to the visual, but also has the possibility of being a result of every element that is sensed depending on social, cultural and technological developments. From this point of view, it has been determined that especially the mechanical dimension of image production is realized through the abstraction and standardization of the perceived. In fact, the possibilities of image productions realized through the "transformation of perceived reality into an interchangeable sign" can be considered as the pioneer of today's computer technologies in this respect.
Today, the transfer of the given reality of the world to computer environments, that is, the realization of a kind of displacement, leads to the digitization of reality, while at the same time transforming this "reality" into "data" that can be controlled, scaled, shared, reproduced and reproduced on the digital plane. This situation points to the digitization that takes place in computer environments through the abstraction of reality. The creation of its standard is its digital dimension. This "interchangeability" between the real and the virtual itself points to image production. The digital dimension of image production is a kind of reproduction in this context. Therefore, digital images should also be a kind of reproduction of image productions. In this context, digital images of image production are examined in terms of both production and realization conditions, and it is tried to determine what kind of possibilities they bring to contemporary art.
"The Production of the Image: The Digital Image", the personal artistic productions realized on the basis of the given reality are dealt with in the context of the possibilities of digital images, which are the most important element of both image production and artistic productions realized with such technologies, with the conditions of "being here" and "being here", even though they have the characteristics of "interchangeable images".
