This research aims to understand the complex relationships between place design, social interaction and an individual's level of emotional attachment. Therefore, it aims to bring together the concepts of place attachment, urban identity and daily life practices to understand the effects of place on its users. Understanding how the daily lives of the inhabitants of the place affect their attachment to the place and urban identity will be an important step in developing user-oriented solutions in place design. Understanding how demographic factors, especially variables such as age and gender, play a role in these relationships is also included in the scope of the research. The study consists of three main parts: In the first part, the theoretical framework of the concepts of place attachment, urban identity and daily life is discussed and the relationship between these concepts and space is analysed. In the second part, the methodology of the study is explained; mixed method research and the reasons for choosing this method are detailed. In the third section, qualitative and quantitative findings are presented. Qualitative findings were analysed using discourse analysis and quantitative findings were analysed using SPSS software. The results of the research show that considering the emotional and cultural experiences of users in space design will contribute to the development of more meaningful, user-oriented and contextually comprehensive solutions in future housing projects and space designs.
