In this study, the Turkish validity and reliability of the Work Role Interview (WRI) Version 10.0 were examined to identify psychosocial and environmental variables affecting employees' work performance. A total of 82 participants aged between 18 and 65 took part in the study. The translation process of the WRI followed the translation procedure outlined by the WHO. Partial Credit Model (PCM) of Polytomous Rasch Analysis was used for the reliability analysis of the WRI assessment. The external validity of the WRI assessment was analyzed using the Work Role Functioning Questionnaire (WRFQ). As a result of the PCM model fit analysis, the Person Reliability was found to be 0.773 with p<.001, indicating that the scale fit the model and was statistically significant. Correlation analysis between WRI and WRFQ total scores resulted in p>0.05, indicating no significant relationship between the two variables. The differences found between the Thurstone threshold values were generally large, indicating high discriminative power of the test. Person Separation Reliability analysis, conducted to differentiate ability differences among individuals and determine the reliability of the measurement, resulted in a Person Separation Reliability value of 0.780, indicating that the model correctly distinguished individuals based on different proficiency levels by 78%. For internal consistency, Cronbach's α value was found to be 0.790, indicating high internal reliability. As a result, the Turkish version of the WRI assessment, used to determine the psychosocial and environmental variables of employees, was culturally adapted to Turkish and its psychometric properties were examined in employees with chronic low back pain, finding it to be an appropriate scale.
