Özet
Cohabitation, which means unmarried couples living together in a shared home, is becoming increasingly common in modern society. This thesis examines the multifaceted phenomenon of cohabitation, aiming to comprehensively investigate the factors affecting individuals' decisions to live together, the outcomes and consequences of cohabitation relationships. The research uses a multidisciplinary approach. It begins by analyzing the family as a concept in modern times, the family during historical development, thus coming to cohabitation and the reasons for choosing cohabitation over marriage, according factors such as economic stability and social norms. It also explores the dynamics of living together by examining issues such as children born out of cohabitation and the child's rights, paternity, surname, child custody, together with their positive and negative consequences. By synthesizing existing literature and conducting original research, this thesis contributes to a better understanding of coexistence in contemporary society and compares two different types of organization of the legal system. The focus of this issue is to seek answers to the questions of whether there are differences between marriage and cohabitation and whether non-marital cohabitation is accepted by society
