The purpose of the study is to reveal relation between developmental levels of 0-6 years children and mothers’ family functionings and life satisfactions. The sample of the study consisted of 201 mothers and 0-6 year old children (102 girls and 99 boys) determined by simple random sampling method. The sample consists of mothers and children registered to two the Family Health Center in Nilüfer district of Bursa. Data from the study were obtained using five measuring instruments. It used ‘Life Satisfaction Scale’ for measuring life satisfaction, ‘Ankara Developmental Screening Inventory’ to determine the perceptions of the mothers about the development levels of children, "Denver II Development Screening Test" for assessing children's development and 'Family Information Form' to obtain demographic information about children and their mothers. The McNemar test, the Friedman test, the Mann-Whitney U test, the Kruskal-Wallis H test, Multi-Chi-square test, the 2x2 Chi-square test and the Pearson Correlation Coefficient were used in the study. The findings of the research showed that the Problem Solving subscale was significantly related to the children's AGTE language-cognitive developmental outcomes; General Functions subscale was significantly related to the children's Denver II gross motor developmental outcomes. Positive aspects between the life satisfaction of the mothers and the children's development scores were very weak and it was found that there was a very weak relationship between mother's family functioning and children's development scores on the negative side. The literature related to the research has been examined, compared with the research findings and discussed, and suggestions have been made.
