This study aims to develop an instructional system for teaching artificial intelligence for gifted students. An artificial intelligence framework curriculum was developed based on this purpose. In this direction, various learning activities, contents and materials were prepared, and the results were evaluated by implementing the prepared instructional system. Type 1 of the developmental research method was used as the methodology. In the research process, the ADDIE design model, which is a framework design model, was utilized and the steps of analysis, design, development, implementation and evaluation were followed. The study was conducted in the second semester of the 2021-2022 academic year in 10 different BİLSEMs in Turkey where gifted students are taught. The study group of the research consists of 11 teachers teaching in these BİLSEMs and 142 gifted students studying in these BİLSEMs. The implementation process was carried out in three stages and lasted 10 weeks. To evaluate the learning performance of the students, an achievement test was applied before and after the implementation. At the end of each phase of the implementation, the teachers' opinions on the implementation process of the instructional system and each learning activity were obtained. It was observed that the students were generally successful according to the mean scores of the achievement test and the mean scores of the student tasks. It is recommended that the developed instructional system should be utilized in artificial intelligence studies in the field of information technologies and software in BİLSEMs.
