Obesity has become a global health problem with an increasing prevalence all over the world. The Covid-19 pandemic has become one of the main health issues that all countries focus on, and the ensuing quarantines and restrictions have become more important and challenging today for the prevention, management, and lifestyle counseling of obesity and obesity-related conditions for primary health care. Changing lifestyle behaviors, including decreased calorie intake, increased physical activity, and behavioral change, for the prevention, management and treatment of health problems is important in the management of overweight and obese patients. Intense lifestyle intervention to be applied to patients and follow-ups using telephone calls in order to protect overweight and obese patients who apply to primary health care from obesity and complications of obesity during the pandemic process where the susceptibility to obesity has increased; It is aimed to evaluate the effects of anthropometric measurements, lipid profile, and obesity-related quality of life and to evaluate different treatment modalities such as increasing the frequency of follow-up with intensive lifestyle intervention. In this study, 165 participants who applied to Hacettepe University Faculty of Medicine Family Medicine between 25.01.2022 and 31.07.2022 were randomized into three groups. Twenty four questions and the IWQOL scale were applied to the participants in a questionnaire. Changes in quality of life and anthropometric measures were evident 3 months after randomization in all three groups, but improvements are generally in the research group. In order for people to adopt a healthy lifestyle, a correct and effective exercise and nutrition program should be prepared. Frequent meetings should be provided to support compliance with the treatment process and ensure continuity, and phone calls should be included in follow-ups.
