In this study, it was aimed to determine the effect of the study activities prepared for gifted students on their creative thinking skills. In the study, one of the quantitative research methods, quasi-experimental design with pretest-posttest experiment control group was used. The study included 16 gifted 7th grade students attending a Science and Art Center (BİLSEM) in Ankara, 8 in the experimental group and 8 in the control group. The experimental group was exposed to the activities prepared to improve the creative thinking skills of gifted students for 8 weeks, while the control group continued the regular education program of BİLSEM. Torrance Tests of Creative Thinking was used to measure the pretest and posttest creativity of the gifted students in the study group. The data obtained were analyzed using the Statistical Program for Social Sciences and the significance level was accepted as p<.05 and Bonferroni correction was made when necessary. Mann-Whitney U Test and Wilcoxon Signed Ranks Test were used to analyze the data. In the findings of the study, it was found that there was a statistically significant difference between the pretest and posttest scores of the study activities applied to improve the creative thinking skills of gifted students. As a result of the findings and analysis, it was concluded that the study activities prepared for gifted students improved their creativity. The findings and results were discussed and interpreted and suggestions were made for future studies in this field.
