Bursalı Mehmed Tâhir ve Biyografik Çalışmaları
Özet
In this Study, the life and actions of Bursalı Mehmed Tâhir, who is known as a biography and bibliography scholar, and his biography works, which are frequently used in fields such as literature, history, politics and theology, have been examined. In the Introduction part of the Study, the term biography is explained, and the Western, Eastern and Turkish biography traditions are introduced. Afterwards, in the First part, Bursalı Mehmed Tâhir's life, family, education, profession and last years were examined, and a comprehensive monography has been prepared. In the Second part of the Study, by focusing on different aspects of his personality, his actions in associations such as the Türk Derneği and the Türk Bilgi Derneği are explained, and the sources contributing to his biographer and bibliographer qualities are clarified. In addition, in this section, a general review of his twenty-five works, including his articles published in periodicals, has been made. In the Third part, the works of Bursalı Mehmed Tâhir, which are categorized in the biography genre, are examined in terms of form, subject and source, and his biographer side is evinced. By this means, together with the structural features of his biography works, their comprehensiveness has also been revealed. In addition, the sources that Bursalı Mehmed Tâhir used to convey accurate information about the subjects while creating his biography works were explained. Thus, his researcher identity was unveiled. In addition, two works of Bursalı Mehmed Tâhir, were transliterated into Latin letters for the first time and various images regarding him have been displayed.
