The concept of intertextuality, theorized by Julia Kristeva, asserts that artworks are interconnected and that this interconnection is inevitable. This theory is not only applicable to linguistics but also used as a method of analyzing works in the fields of semiotics, art, and literature. In this study, the subject of intertextual relationships is examined, aiming to establish a connection with personal ceramic practices. The conceptual framework of the theory is investigated through a literature review. In terms of applicability to contemporary ceramic art, readings are limited to the methods of quotation, pastiche, parody, collage, palimpsest, and imitation within intertextuality. Considering that the artist is also a audience, the potential of intertextuality methods as a practice for personal artistic production is explored. Due to the relationships established by the concept of intertextuality in both artwork analysis and production, it is revealed that the outputs are reproductions.
