Information designs used in historical areas have developed considerably thanks to today's technological possibilities and have evolved from still texts and visuals to interactive information designs. Due to the high level of interaction, virtual reality glasses offer a unique experience to visitors who want to visit historical places with both on-site visits and online tours. This thesis aims to reveal the effect of interactive information designs with virtual reality headsets in historical areas on user experience. The study consists of four parts. In the first chapter, theoretical information about information design is given in order to better understand information design. In the section that starts with the definition and history of information design, the application environment and areas of information design are mentioned. The subtitles of these sections are classified in detail, explained, and interpreted through qualified examples in the field. In the third part, interactive information design applications are examined. These categorized examples are described under four different headings cultural, commercial, educational, and historical. Thanks to qualified examples in the field, the theoretical explanations of interactive information designs have gained meaning and their application forms have been seen. Finally, in the fourth chapter, information about the application created after all the theoretical explanations and the effective examples examined is presented. This information explained the adventure of the application and presented the examined ways and methods in detail. The visuals of the application are shared in the section describing the construction process and the basis of the application. In order to better reveal the effects of the application on user experiences, expert academicians from different fields were interviewed and asked to try the application and to evaluate and convey these experiences together with their positive and negative aspects.
