Eğitimin Kamusal Niteliğinin Bourdıeu’nün Sermaye Kuramı Çerçevesinde İrdelenmesi
Özet
The aim of this study is to examine the public characteristics of education within the
framework of Pierre Bourdieu's capital theory. Education is often characterized as a
service that enables social mobility. However, in daily life, it is observed that disruptions
in the provision of educational services often constitute an barrier to social cohesion. In
societies consisting of members with different economic, social and cultural capital
stocks, it is essential for the public sector to ensure equal opportunity in education in order
to spread solidarity practices and ensure social cohesion. Within the scope of the thesis
research, it has been evaluated that the reproduction of inequalities is inevitable if the
public sector does not make the necessary arrangements within the framework of the
examinations made from the perspective of Bourdieu sociology.
