Abstract

It was aimed in this study that the effect of diamond concentration on the beads used in diamond wire cutting on the cutting performance parameters, which are wear on beads, cutting speed and energy consumed was investigated and considering these effects, cuttability abacuses were developed for diamond wire cutting method according to the types of rocks. For this purpose, diamond wire cutting operations were performed on different (real marble, limestone and granite) natural stones (30 different natural stones) selected from different natural stone (marble) quarries that are producing with diamond wire cutting method in our country. Since there has been no study like the present one in the literature, it is thought that this study will fill a huge gap that exists in the production of conscious marble and the selection and use of suitable diamond beads in the marble industry.
