Doğu Anadolu Volkanlarının Termal Kızılötesi Uydu Görüntüleri ile Uzun Süreli Termal Aktivitesinin Gözlenmesi
Abstract
MODIS (Moderate Resolution Imaging Spectroradiometer) is an instrument operating on the TERRA and AQUA satellite platforms. It is monitoring land, ocean and atmospheric events on Earth surface with 36 spectral bands. Two by Terra MODIS and two by Aqua MODIS four thermal satellite images are acquired daily. These images have 1 km spatial resolution. MODIS receives images continuously throughout the year and hence, a long term analysis can be made. The land surface temperature values of the Holocene volcanoes of Eastern Anatolia (Nemrut, Suphan, Ağrı, Tendürek) are calculated for 12 years. A code is generated using the IDL (Interactive Data Language) to perform the analysis and calculations on MODIS images. 16,260 images of surface temperature were examined with MOVAP (Modis Volcano Analysis Program) code between the years 2001 and 2012. In order to examine the images, it is required to consider the factors such as cloudiness that affect the reflectance values.
