Yukarı Dicle Havzası'nda Su Kalitesinin Zenginleşme Faktörü Kullanılarak Zamana ve Mekana Bağlı Değişimin İncelenmesi
Özet
Tigris River which provides 11% of Turkey's water potential, has a flow rate of 360 m3/sec, travel 523 km. in Turkish territory. The river must be protected due to
increasing anthropogenic activities. Given the importance of the river in the region and in Turkey, this thesis will provide reference point for future studies, there are limited number of studies on the water quality of Tigris River.
In this study, The Upper Tigris Basin, covering the area from town of Maden (birthplace of the Tigris River) to the south of Diyarbakır city, has been defined as the working area. Concentrations of 19 water quality parameters at 7 selected stations were collected between the years 2008 and 2012. Enrichment Factors (EF) were calculated using different reference materials for the Tigris River water.
As a result of field studies, point and diffuse pollution sources which have change quality of river, has been determined and remedial and preventive measures has
been identified. In this study, as a result of domestic, industrial, agricultural, mining activities and erosion in the river basin, the Tigris River have been found to be
affected at the 2nd, 4th, 5th and 6th stations.
