Today, it is observed that academic studies in the field of security are increasing in Turkey, and parallel to this, the interest in the national defense industry is also increasing. However, academic studies conducted within this scope are generally one-dimensional and there are almost no studies conducted in terms of public administration field. In this study, the relationship of Turkey's national security policies with defense industry management will be examined. In this context, In the first part of the research, Turkey's national security policies are discussed by first revealing what security is and its conceptual and theoretical depth. In the second part, the history of Turkey's defense industry was mentioned in the context of important turning points from the Ottoman Empire until today, and the depth of its impact on today's defense industry administration and national security policies is analyzed. After this, today's Turkish defense industry and its administration are examined with all its dimensions. In the last part, the mutual relationship between Turkey's national security policies and defense industry administration is analyzed and answers are sought for the research questions that led to the emergence of the study. In this thesis, it is aimed to examine the relationship of Turkey's national security policies with the defense industry under the discipline of public administration and to reveal the depth of this relationship. As a result of the thesis, the following findings that summarize this relationship were found; for Turkey to follow more effective and independent security policies, the importance of the domestic and national defense industry becomes more evident. The high rate of dependency of Turkey in a strategic area such as the defense industry causes the interruption of the national security policies that it wants to implement; However, its independence at the same rate supports Turkey to reach a more comfortable and result-oriented position in terms of both internal security and regional/international security policies. For this reason, the strategic determination of the defense industry administration in Turkey on security policies can be summarized as the main finding of the thesis.
