İktisadi Büyüme, Sağlık ve Çevresel Tahribatın Karşılıklı İlişkisi: Ampirik Bir Değerlendirme
Abstract
The main goal of this thesis is the analysis of the feedback effects between economic growth and environmental degradation through health that is one of human capital elements and considered relationship consequences on economic convergence process during the period 1990-2010 for 60 developing countries. This requires examining the interrelationships between economic growth, health, and environmental degradation. We first look at the bilateral relationships between economic growth-environmental degradation (the Environmental Kuznets Curve (EKC) hypothesis), economic growth-health status and human capital–economic growth in framework of reduced form EKC, health production function and extended Solow single equations models respectively, However, this remains insufficient because the bilateral links do not take into account the interrelationships between health, environment and economic growth. To investigate this, we formulate two Simultaneous Equations Model (SEM).
