In this research, the students' ability of drawing, reading and interpreting a graph was reviewed by developing a test of open-end questions including balance in the unit "Speed and Balance in the Reactions" in the 11th class level for the chemistry curriculum. Furthermore, it was reviewed that the intelligence areas and anxiety of the students effect to the related abilities or not. Totally 150 students from Ankara and Eskisehir attended to the research. The simultaneous triangulation pattern was used a s the method of the study. In order to collect data, a two-section-test aiming to determine the level of drawing, reading and interpreting a graph, the Anxiety Scale of Using Graph in the Chemistry Lessons (Seckin, Zan, 2012) aiming to determine the levels of anxiety and a scale developed by Seber in 2001 aiming to determine the intelligence level were used. The results of the research showed that, the points from the ability test of reading and interpreting a graph was higher than the average point from the ability test of drawing a graph. It was concluded that there was a positive and meaningful relation between the ability of drawing a grapfh and all the intelligence level, yet there was only a meaningful relation between the ability of reading and interpreting a grapfh and logical-mathematical intelligence area. In addition, it was concluded that there was a negative and meaningful relation between the anxiety levels and related abilities of the student group.
