Hastaların Genel Hastane Hizmetlerinden Memnuniyetlerinin ve Hemşireye Olan Güveninin Belirlenmesi

This study aims to determine the satisfaction of patients from general hospital services and their trust in nurses and conducted in two stages which were methodological and descriptive-relational stages. The study was carried out in Ankara Ministry of Health Hospital in twenty-seven wards, which consist of surgical, internal and mixed-type units. The sample of the study consisted of 278 patients who were being discharged after at least 3 days of inpatient treatment. The number of patients to be included in the study was determined by G-Power Power Analysis and Stratified Sampling Method. In the first stage of the research; the reliability and validity study for the general patient group applicability of the Trust in Nurses Scale was conducted. Cronbach alpha value: 0.829. In the second stage of the research; the data were collected through the Patient Data Form, the Hospital Satisfaction Survey and the Trust in Nurses Scale. The data obtained from the research were evaluated by using IBM SPSS 23 for Windows software. In the analysis, mean, standard deviation, number, percentage, median, chi-square test, Kruskall Gamma correlation coefficient, Kruskal Wallis, Man Whitney U were used. Spearman‟s Rho correlation coefficient was examined for the relationship between satisfaction from hospital services and trust in nurses. 93.2% of the patients stated that they would prefer the hospital again and recommend it. The average visual scale, determining patient satisfaction from hospital services, was 7.86 ±1.62.(min:1-max:10) It was deducted that the participants were highly satisfied with the hospital services. There was a moderate negative correlation between the unit type and the satisfaction from the hospital services (G=- 0.671 p<0.05). The average score of the participants' Trust in Nurses Scale was 21.78±2.16 (min:4-max:24). Participants' Trust in Nurses Scale scores statistically difference were found age, educational status, length of hospital stay, and the unit they received treatment. There was a weak, positive and statistically significant relationship between the participants‟ satisfaction from the hospital services and the Trust in Nurses Scale (r=0.366 p=0000). According to the results of the research; suggestions were made to provide hospital services in accordance with not only patient expectations but also standards and to maintain trust in nurses.
