Resimli Çocuk Kitaplarının Eleştirel Düşünme Becerilerini Desteklemesi Yönünden İncelenmesi
Özet
This study aimed to analyse the picture books published for preschool children in terms of their supporting qualities on critical thinking skills development. This descriptive survey model study investigated hundred chilren picture books chosen with convenience sampling method among the translated or original picture books which are in market Turkey, by using a 17 criteria, “critical thinking skills supportive content evaluation form” created by the researcher. The data obtained from the picture child books was evaluated by frequency and percentile values. Evaluated books were qualitatively descriptive analyzed by “critical thinking skills supportive content evaluation form” in terms of “relating and questioning”, “self-regulation and innovation” and “avoidance of dogma”. The results of the study revealed that the evaluated books have “low” level of critical thinking skills supportive content.
