Nazal Polipli Hastalarda Scgb1C1 (Lıgand-Bındıng Proteın Ryd5) Genindeki Moleküler Patolojilerin Araştırılması
Özet
Nasal polyposis (NP) is a chronic inflammatory disease consisting of benign mucosal protrusions that can extend towards the nasal cavity. NP is a multifactorial disease in which genetic factors assume an important role in its development. Its pathogenesis is regulated by the balance between pro-inflammatory and anti-inflammatory cytokines. The RYD5 (SCGB1C1) gene is a member of newly defined gene family of the secretoglobins (SGCB). It is a dimeric, biologically active, physiologically and pathophysiologically important protein with anti-inflammatory and immuno-modulator functions. This study has been conducted to investigate the effects of genotypic variations and deviations in gene expression in RYD5 gene on NP formation mechanism.
