Kapadokya Bölgesi Nde (Nevşehir) Kara Kaplumbağası (Testudo Graeca Lınnaeus, 1758) Üzerine Biyo-Ekolojik Çalışmalar

Abstract

In this study, morphometric features, feeding activities, endo-ecto parasites, hibernation and aestivation periods and habitat preferences and breeding activities of Testudo graeca were investigated in Kaplumbağa Valley and Nar Valley in Nevşehir-Cappadoccia Region. In Kaplumbağa Valley 21 adult females, 36 adult males, 8 subadults and 2 juvenil individuals; in Nar Valley 17 adult females, 20 adult males, 1 subadullt and 5 juvenil individuals were caught, marked and their morphological measurements were done. It was detected that this species feed on plant from Asteraceae, Rosaceae, Fabaceae, Brassicaceae, Poaceae, Lamiaceae, Chenopodiaceae, Scrophulariaceae families.
