Meme Kanseri Hücrelerinde Kostimülatör B7 Ailesi Ligandlarının Ekspresyonu ve Yardımcı T Hücre Yanıtları Üzerine Etkisi
Abstract
B7 ligands are the most critical costimulatory molecules that regulate T cell responses. Although these molecules are mainly expressed on professional antigen presenting cells, they may also be expressed on tumor cells. Among the members of B7 ligand family, B7-1 and B7-2 play a critical role in stimulating naive T cells. However, these molecules may also engage CTLA-4 that is expressed on activated T cells and inhibit T cell function. B7-H1, B7-DC and B7-H4 exert inhibitory effects, whereas B7-H2 has activatory and B7-H3 has regulatory effects on T cell responses. The aim of this study is to determine the effects of B7 ligands, which are present on on breast cancer cells, on T helper cell responses. Luminal breast cancer cell lines MCF-7, BT-474, SK-BR-3, T-47D, ZR-75-1; basal-like breast cancer cell lines MDA-MB-231, MDA-MB-468 and HCC38 as well as a normal basal-like breast epithelial cell line MCF-12A were propagated in in vitro cultures.
