Relationship Between Using Blogs and Achievements in Reading Skills of Prep-Class Students at Tertiary Level
Abstract
This study investigates the relationship between blogs and achievements in reading skills of prep-class students at tertiary level. Another purpose of the study is to find out the effective criteria in the use of blogs in reading courses of prep-classes. For the purpose of the study, a convenient sampling procedure was handled. The study was conducted in the fall semester of 2014-2015 academic year with a total number of 38 students 19 of whom constituted an experimental group and the rest 19 were in the control group. Out of 19 participants in the experimental group six were females, 13 were males. On the other hand, there are four females and 15 males in the control group. The participants were prep class students at a private university in Turkey. The groups were formed by the prep class administrative board after gathering results of the preliminary exam.
