A Protestan Missionary of Ottoman Anatolia: Urfa (1857-1910).This dissertation studies the activities of the BOARD missionaries who were in the central district of Urfa during the years, 1857-1910. I focused on these missionaries objectives, working styles, their priorities and their perceptions of the life in the city, with this connection, the objective which we have mentioned, from time to time we have tried to reconstruct the period of the character's dimensions of emotion and thought. By this way, we can more efficiently infiltrate this period in time, the conditions and increase the emphasis on writing a history of human endeavours. This target has been built through the records of the BOARD. At the same time, in this research also used to support the BOARD resourses were the Ottoman Archieve, American State Records, travelogues, term resources and various research works.
