Cizre Örneğinde Etnisite Içi Karşılaşma Biçimleri
Abstract
In this dissertation, the causes, dimensions and consequences of conflicts are studied among groups that live in the city center in the Eastern Anatolia as well as Southeastern Anatolia Region and those that settled in the city center due to the evacuation of villages which is commonly observed in the regions. The field research is carried out in the county of Cizre, Şırnak and a transactional perspective along with the fieldwork approach are adopted for this research. Although being part of the same ethnicity and belief system, the perception of otherness constructed among the settled groups and immigrants of Cizre has been analyzed in terms of traditions, religion, economy and locality. Traditional, spatial and economic segregation has been detected among the groups whereas religious segregation was not observed.
