Bilgi Yönetiminin Kavramsal Tanımı ve Uygulama Alanları

Abstract

The departments of librarianship were recently renamed as departments of information management as a result of a restructuring process. Their curricula were reviewed and some new courses on information management were added. Yet the concept of “information management” has not been fully discussed during the transition period. This paper attempts to define the terms “document” and “information” as objects of the study of information management. It reviews information management as an interdisciplinary field from a conceptual viewpoint along with its various applications.
